Overview

Criminal justice encompasses procedures used to investigate criminal conduct; this includes evidence gathering, making arrests and bringing charges, conducting trials, sentencing and punishments. This guide is designed to provide students or researchers access to criminal justice resources both in the library and online.

Definitions of criminal justice:

    • The system of law enforcement involving police, lawyers, courts, and corrections, used for all stages of criminal proceedings and punishment.
