This guide gives access to materials related to Pretrial Advocacy (Law 970) and Trial Advocacy (Law 992).

Pretrial Advocacy topics covers the fundamentals of pretrial practice from the client's first visit to the day before trial begins including client interviews and counseling, alternatives to litigation, draft pleadings, conduct and respond to discovery, and negotiating and drafting settlement documents.   .

Trial Advocacy topics cover the fundamentals of trial practice including opening and closing statements, direct and cross examination, use of demonstrative evidence, introducing exhibits, making evidentiary objections, and courtroom procedure and decorum.

Copying and printing are available at the 2nd and 3rd floor MFDs (multi-function devices).  KU-affiliates will pay via their KU ID accounts; persons not affiliated with KU will need to purchase a printing/copying login at the Circulation Desk.
